St Augustine Day 3: Castillo de San Marcos

Today we took all 3 kids to Castillo de San Marcos in Saint Augustine.  We walked there from our house, eating lunch on the way in the cute little downtown shopping area.  We learned about how the fort had been many things through the years, and how the markings and different layers of brick were added at different times to make a particular room a store house for food, a room with a passageway, or boarding for soldiers.  The views were stunning, and we met friendly people with other babies there about Eloise's age.  For dinner, we grilled out and ate on the patio, played doll hospital on the front porch, and bathed the baby in the sink.  Not bad for a day's work!
