When You Have No Destination

When you have nowhere to go and no destination, you just go nowhere.  And that's exactly what we did.  We drove, just down a little rural highway, just to see what we could find.  We found a little farm that didn't mind us visiting, and a playground on the way home.  It was a wonderful day.  Simple, but awesome.

The kind farmer who showed us around was a student, a farmer-in-training at this organic farm.  He showed us the goats and how he milked them.  On the way home, both children fell asleep in the car, so I pulled over to take some photos of the beautifully dramatic fall in its last gasp before winter.  Maine...it's a love affair.
